Shane Waltener was commissioned by Innovative Craft to create this striking site specific piece in the stairwell at Dovecot Studios in Edinburgh, during the showing of Taking Time: Craft and the Slow Revolution. The Stairwell Weave-In was part of an event held on Saturday 13th March, enabling two of the exhibitors to share their work as contemporary textile artists with visitors. Amy Houghton was also at the venue , in conversation with Director Amanda Game, discussing her piece ‘One centimetre is a little less than half-an-inch, commissioned by Craftspace for the exhibition.
